Konrad Friedrich Bauer和Walter Baum在1963年设计了Impressum。Impressum是Bauer铸造和Intertype的竞争对手Linotype的Excelsior的竞争对手。和Excelsior一样，它的比例也让它很受报纸出版商的欢迎，而且这种字体在较小的文本中效果特别好。

Konrad Friedrich Bauer and Walter Baum designed Impressum in 1963.Impressum was the Bauer typefoundry and Intertype's competitor to Linotype'sExcelsior. Like Excelsior, its proportions made it very popular with newspaper publishers, and the type works particularly well in smaller bodies of text.
Although it was created long after the days of the Old West, Impressum still has some Clarendon in it, making it a fitting choice for this documents with western theme. Alternatively, it can still be used for newspaper work."
